Church camp was better than expected. MUCH better though it was such a short camp.
Yesterday we assembled in church and when we reached campsite, it totally just felt like home. Hahaha so yeah.. spent entire time in camp in my jacket (IT WAS SO COLD I COULD DIE! ESPECIALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. OMFG I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE) and yeah bonding with friends and making new friends!
It’s kinda strange how i’ve known some of these people for almost 9 years and i don’t even know the slightest info about them. So yeah, this camp was kinda enjoyable (to me at least) because i kinda found.. new friends and some of the words said really touched me. I think through this camp i kinda found God.
Haha idk, im not really the total holy type but im serious about this. I did find the strength to pull through stuff. 2 catechists shared their stories about their families and i cried (yes i did).
Spent like half an hour after lights out gossiping with Leticia, Rachel, Jodie and Christa (sym was using her phone!!!!!) and we just suddenly stopped talking and all fell asleep. The girls all woke at 7am (wake up call’s at 7.30!) and we all got ready and went downstairs yet the boys got up at 7.30 and we were already in the canteen while they were walking to and from the toilet in boxers and shirts. HAHAHAHAHA it was actually quite funny cause they all looked like they were gonna die.
So yeah i just wanna thank the friends that made camp fulfilling - Christa, Rachel, Sym, Jodie, Leti, Darren, Brian, Nell, Daniel & Siraj (yes the two played cards with us!) - well basically the whole Sunday 8.30am class, we’re gonna be confirmed soon BUT I HOPE WE KEEP IN TOUCH!<3
